Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive and grow the company's vehicle sales volume and share through rental channel sales and corporate fleet sales.
- Formulate strategies to improve product penetration of rental and corporate fleet customer growth.
- Coordinate and manage a customer and corporate sales contact cycle, visits and events for a portfolio of key accounts.
- Utilise ERP systems and CRM processes to maintain and manage relevant and accurate client data.
- Use fleet demonstration vehicles optimally in marketing and promoting products and the brand among clients.
- Monitor and analyse competitor fleet activities and formulate recommendations and strategies to compete.
- Negotiate with fleet owners to secure incremental vehicle sales and competitive offerings to close deals.
- Participate in new product launches and events, including inviting key clients and business partners.
- Support and inform dealers and other divisions regarding rental and corporate fleet sales matters.
- Participate in developing rental channel and corporate fleet sales policy with fleet owners.
- Develop recommendations for fleet and rental vehicle packages, fleet aftersales and value-added products.
- Analyse customer input regarding vehicle specifications and facilitate resolution of customer queries.
- Plan and coordinate a corporate sales promotions programme for the regions and head office.
- Evaluate and monitor rental channel and corporate sales KPIs, results and required follow-up actions.
- Focus and measure dealer second-tier rental and corporate sales strategies, prospecting systems and CRM processes.
- Build relationships with dealer fleet sales managers, rental customers and corporate customers to increase sales.
- Liaise with Regional Sales and Aftersales Managers to ensure optimum sales results and support reduced downtime.
- Handle rental and corporate sales projects on an ongoing basis to develop and enhance brand operations.
- Maintain and grow relationships with full maintenance lease companies and solution providers.
Education and Experience
- Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field will be advantageous.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience in key account management, fleet sales, rental sales, or corporate sales within the automotive industry.
- Automotive OEM sales experience will be advantageous.
- Experience working with ERP and CRM systems is preferred.
